A guide to the clinical roles at Dental Wellness Mill Hill, from dentists and hygienists to implant and root canal care, and how they work together.
Over the years you may see several different people at a dental practice: a dentist for check-ups, a hygienist for gum care, another dentist for an implant or a root canal. Here is a guide to the roles in our Mill Hill team and how your care is shared between them.
Your general dentist is usually your first point of contact. They carry out examinations, diagnose problems, provide fillings, crowns, bridges and dentures, and coordinate any other care you need. Our dentists include Dr Ruby Glaskie, Dr Charlotte Leigh, Dr Hannah Solomons, Dr Max Seitler, Dr Rachel Konits and Dr Gaston Brander. Several also provide cosmetic treatments such as whitening, composite bonding and Invisalign clear aligners.
Dental hygienists and therapists focus on preventing and treating gum disease. They remove tartar, check gum health, apply fluoride and give practical advice on cleaning. In our team, this includes Madison Posner and Hina Zafar.
Root canal treatment can be detailed work, especially on back teeth with several canals. At Mill Hill it is carried out by dentists including Dr Rima Doshi, Dr Ani Ohanyan and Dr Daniel Rabinowitz.
Implant treatment involves planning with X-rays and 3D scans, a surgical stage and the fitting of new teeth. Dr Jay Doshi, our principal dentist and implant surgeon, and Dr Stephen Franks provide implant treatment at the practice.
Dr Nazia Din is a dentist with a special interest in oral surgery and carries out extractions, including wisdom tooth assessments and removal.
Behind every appointment are our dental nurses, led by head nurse Analyn Manansala, and our reception and patient coordination team, including Laura Hadi and Jemma Harrington, who help with bookings, treatment plans and questions.
In the UK, only dentists on the General Dental Council's specialist lists can call themselves specialists. Where a case is complex, we will discuss referral to a registered specialist if that is in your interest. You can check any dental professional's registration on the GDC website.
